  • Cyclists will find ample opportunities to park their bikes in front of the main entrance of Düsseldorf Arcaden. Parking spaces for cargo bikes are also available.

    Easy to reach and easy to find! This is the most convenient way to get to Düsseldorf Arcaden:
  • From the A46 (exit 23 “Düsseldorf Bilk”): Continue on the L52
  • From the A57 (exit 22 “Neuss Hafen”): Continue on the B1 towards Bilk
  • From the A52: Drive to Mörsenbroich, then continue on the B1 towards Bilk
    • Navigation system entry: Parking garage entrance via Bachstraße 141.

Donate blood at the centre: your donation can save lives

Sometimes it doesn’t take much time to do something truly important. At Düsseldorf Arcaden, you can donate blood easily and help people who urgently depend on blood products.

Especially around World Blood Donor Day on 14 June, the nationwide #missingtype campaign, with the slogan “You only notice it when it’s missing.”, highlights how important regular blood donations are. In Germany, a blood donation is needed every 7 seconds—around 15,000 donations every day.

Blood cannot be produced artificially. Without donations, sick and injured people cannot be adequately cared for—for example during surgeries, in emergency care or as part of treatments for chronically ill patients. In addition, blood products have a limited shelf life. That’s why continuous commitment is so important to secure long-term supply.

This is exactly where the #missingtype campaign comes in: it makes visible what happens when something essential is missing and aims to raise awareness—especially among young people—about blood donation and motivate them to take part. Because a reliable supply of blood products concerns all of us.

One blood donation can save up to three lives—and it’s also a small health check for you.

At the pop-up blood donation centre in the mall, donating is straightforward:

  • Monday to Friday: 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Please bring an official photo ID to your appointment. People who are of legal age, healthy and fit, and weigh at least 50 kg are eligible to donate blood.
